Emergency exercise at Stornoway gas works 29/8/11
There will be a major exercise taking place at the |Stornoway gas from 7.30pm tomorrow (Tues).
The exercise will involve all the emergency services and will test the response of these services in the event of an emergency situation at the plant. The exercise will last for approximately two hours.
The site warning siren at the plant will also be tested from 10am on Tuesday the 30th.
The siren testing will take place for no more than an hour, with the siren sounding for a maximum duration of three minutes each time.
